Off the East coast of Bali, a stones throw from th Off the East coast of Bali, a stones throw from the port where hoards of tourists pass through each day traveling to and from the Gili Islands, is a site that was formerly nothing but underwater rubble. During COVID, with no guests around - @livingseas.asia started a coral rehabilitation project with the support of @carbonethics 🪸 Three years later, it’s incredible to see a THRIVING marine ecosystem with countless juvenile fish, curious puffers, all kinds of starfish, and coral cover improving in strides! The work is ongoing, with digital monitoring and regular maintenance taken on by a crew of passionate professionals and volunteers to ensure the survival of this new reef. Can’t wait to see my own reef star disappear under healthy coral colonies in the coming months!
1. Collect broken Acropora fragments (among the fastest growing stony coral!)
2. Secure a locally produced reef star to the existing framework to ensure resilience against tidal action and provide a substrate the corals can thrive on
3. Tie 18 fragments per reef star and cut off the zip ties
4. The fragments will eventually merge and completely cover the structure underneath!
T H E dress 👰🏻🤍 Hoping another bride gets T H E dress 👰🏻🤍 Hoping another bride gets to adventure in my stunning @eddyk_bridal gown from the Dreams collection! I saw it peeking out of a rack within 60 seconds of being @brookesbridalandball and knew I had to try this one on. I didn’t say yes to the dress that day, but I thought about it all night and called to order the next morning. It’s since been dry cleaned and is in perfect condition, ready for a new home - message me for the listing on @stillwhite or if you’re local to CT! 📸: @meganmontalvophoto
