Easy French Toast
Quick, basic french toast recipe that is easily adjusted for different flavors!

Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4C milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2tsp cinnamon
  • 4slices toastwhole wheat bread for health, challah bread for a treat 🙂
  • 1TB butteror oil, but y’all know butter makes everything taste better!
Instructions
  1. In a wide, shallow bowl, beat together all the ingredients except the toast.
  2. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat and spread it out evenly.
  3. Once the butter starts to sizzle, dip both sides of as many slices of bread that can fit into your pan at once and cook on both sides until golden.
  4. Serve with whatever toppings your heart desires!
Recipe Notes

Sub the cinnamon and vanilla for chai spices, or throw in some lemon juice/zest, or almond extract, or leave out the spices completely if you’re going for some savory toppings like avocado and mozzarella! Be creative – it’s hard to go wrong!
